The agency is seeking a contractor to provide agency-wide communications support services to clearly convey priorities, policies, programs, and decisions; support public participation and transparency; strengthen relationships with partners and the public; and ensure communications are accessible, timely, accurate, and responsive.
The scope includes translation services for outreach materials in languages commonly spoken by Bay Area residents, including Spanish, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Hindi. The selected vendor will also maintain and annually update media contact lists, coordinate outreach with media outlets, and manage or prepare press and public relations requests as needed. Additional communications support may be assigned to address evolving agency priorities, project demands, and operational needs.
The work also includes development of outreach strategies and materials to improve participation in existing web tools, including the Community-Based Organization mapping tool and the Community Vulnerability Tool. The contractor will develop accessible and engaging tabling materials, an outreach event kit, and activities designed to attract participation at events.
Website and creative support are also required, including recommendations for content updates, limited web content development, blog content of up to six posts per year, and graphic design, layout, imagery, and original graphics for reports, web pages, and website updates aligned with Bay Adapt visual branding.
